Katie Perez was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, and has been dancing since the age of 9. While growing up, she studied at Encore Dance Center located in San Dimas, CA, immersing herself in ballet, modern, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, and tap, while learning from leaders in the industry. She also attended multiple summer intensives at the Performing Arts Center in Van Nuys, CA. Katie has performed in a variety of broadway style dance productions, as well as Encore Dance Centers annual Nutcracker for 8 years. 

Upon graduating high school, Katie moved to Phoenix, AZ, and attended Arizona State University where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Wellness in May 2021. Katie has a passion for fitness and dance, as well as traveling and getting outdoors. Katie teaches Ballet at EDF and is excited to continue sharing her knowledge and inspiring her students.
